The Settling-In Programme (SIP) is a 1-day orientation programme for first-time FDWs to educate them on safety precautions and living in Singapore.
The topics covered include:
- Introduction to Singapore.
- Employment conditions.
- Safety at home.
- Safety in other areas.
- Relationship and stress management.
NOTE
Your FDW can only start work with you after she has attended the SIP.
Register for SIP
When: Before the FDW’s arrival in Singapore
To ensure that your FDW secures a training slot within the first 3 days of her arrival in Singapore, you are advised to register her for the SIP before she arrives in Singapore.

Documents required
You will need to submit the following documents when your FDW goes to the SIP training centre:
- In-principle approval (IPA) letter.
- The FDW’s passport.
- A copy of the FDW’s educational certificate.
